The signing ceremony was held in IGGL’s Corporate Office located at NRL Centre Guwahati in presence of IGGL’s Director Shri Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Ajit Kumar Thakur, CEO; Shri Rajib Kumar Bhattacharyya, CHRCM; Shri Pankaj Patowary, CPM; Shri Jayanta Narayan Das, GM (Mktg, RA and BE) along with ONGC officials viz. Asset Managers Shri Bipul Gohain, Shri Krishna Kumar, Shri SK Dwivedi and other senior officials from IGGL and ONGC.

Through this hook up ONGC will deliver 1.85 lakh SCMD from Jorhat Asset, 82500 SCMD from Silchar Asset and 7.00 lakh SCMD from Tripura asset to IGGL network.

1. Inaugural Ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Program : The week commenced with an Inaugural Ceremony held at the IGGL Corporate Office and its other Work Centres on 31st October 2022

2. Awareness Program to IGGL employees : To spread awareness, a presentation was given to employees of IGGL on “Setup and Functions of Central Vigilance Commission and IGGL Vigilance functions” by the Vigilance Department on 31st October 2022.

3. Events organized by IGGL during the week : To spread awareness on the theme “Corruption Free India for a developed Nation”, various competitions such as Essay Writing competition (Hindi & English) and Slogan Writing competition (Hindi & English) organized across IGGL during the period.

4. Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution : The concluding function of the Vigilance Awareness Week -2022 was held on 04.11.2022 at IGGL Corporate Office, Guwahati as well as all sites. In closing ceremony prizes were awarded to the winners of all the competitions held during the Vigilance Awareness Week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the project on February 9, 2019 during his recent visit to Guwahati, Assam.

The Indradhanush Grid will be connected the country’s main grid through a pipeline which will bring natural gas from Barauni to Guwahati. The capital city of Assam will then be connected with some of the main cities in the north-east, including Itanagar, Dimapur, Kohima, Imphal, Aizwal, Shillong, Agartala, Silchar, Gangtok and Numaligarh through three pipelines. The project aims to provide piped natural gas to households and liquefied natural gas for vehicles.
