Hydrocarbon Vision 2030
In March 2016, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), Government of India, had constituted a committee to prepare a vision document namely Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for Northeast India. The committee was formed under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary, MoPNG, and also had representation from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Oil India Ltd (OIL), Directorate General of Hydrocarbon (DGH), GAIL India Ltd (GAIL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL), Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC), Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB) and Engineers India Ltd (EIL).
The Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for North-East India (Vision Document) was released by Hon’ble Minister of State for P&NG on 9.2.2016. The Vision Document inter-alia comprehensively examines the gaps in Natural Gas infrastructure and proposes detailed plans for both Natural Gas infrastructure as well as gas market development in the North East.
