Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) signed a Gas Transmission Agreement (GTA) with North East Gas Distribution Company Limited (NEGDCL) on 27 January 2026. The agreement marks an important step in facilitating the transportation of natural gas through IGGL’s pipeline network to support downstream gas distribution in the region.
The execution of the GTA is aligned with IGGL’s mandate to strengthen gas infrastructure connectivity and enable the expansion of city gas distribution networks. The agreement is expected to contribute to improved availability of natural gas for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers, while supporting the broader objective of promoting natural gas as a cleaner energy source.
IGGL remains committed to collaborating with downstream entities to enhance utilization of its pipeline network and to support the development of an integrated and resilient natural gas ecosystem in the North Eastern region.
